Kitchen Lab #1 Akis Petretzikis

Like the name suggests, this space is Akis Petretzikis’ Lab, his kitchen where the renowned Chef gets inspired, experiments and tests his recipes until he perfects them. A multicultural multiplex of creation and endless flavor. Also due to its unique interior design, that gives it more the look and feel of a home, Kitchen Lab is the perfect space where many company seminars and various other events are held. Our company in close collaboration with the profound chef designed and created a multi-use space that works as a kitchen, office space and a house, all at the same time. The character that we chose to give to the main kitchen area was traditional French and Italian rural cuisine. One of the trademark features of ‘‘country style’’ kitchen design is color. Natural hues and the vibrant colors of the Mediterranean Sea are often featured, contributing to a design that’s at once welcoming and lively. Shades like ocher, burnt orange, terracotta and gentle yellows are often deployed to suggest a relaxed yet elegant lifestyle—one in which cooking and eating enjoy a place of primacy. In addition the extent use of wood surfaces that are slightly antiqued and distressed, manages to pair the elegance of the design with a welcoming, lived-in look. What we have finally achieved is for Kitchen Lab to become the well-known and very characteristic kitchen space where all of the filming for the Greek and English You Tube channel are held.
