Summer Residence – Antiparos
This Summer Residence at Antiparos spreads at a plot of 8.000,00 square meters and the total built area is 560,00 square meters. The facilities include a swimming pool, tennis court, helipad and a boat house. The architecture of Antiparos as in all Cycladic islands, requires strict regulations to preserve the Cycladic uniformity composed of the typical white houses with blue doors and windows, the courtyard and adorned gardens with bougainvillea flowers, which particularly bloom in the island. The primary concern of the architect John A. Makris was the protection from strong summer winds, the correct placement of the house to take advantage as much as possible the views of the sea and its integration into the environment. Following the wisdom of vernacular architecture, the design follows the natural slope using the logic of terraces, allowing an unobscured view to the Aegean Blue.
