Villa Yria – Paros

Villa Yria is located in Santa Maria, a nature environmentally protected peninsula ‘‘characterized  as Natura’’  at the North East end of Paros in close proximity to Naoussa (6 km distance). Ideally located, facing the spectacular Aegean sea, our Luxurious Villa provides a unique memorable vacation experience. The project consists a Luxurious Villa with guest areas and outdoor facilities that overlook the sea and the islets Fonisses, Ovriokastro and Kouronisi, and gazing towards the horizon the neighboring island of Naxos. Situated on the focal point of the lot, terraced courtyards and wide open spaces lead to the plateau which extends between the indoor and outdoor spaces. The north side opens onto the patio entrance and creates inner courtyards, protected from the winds, while the east side is dominated with by the pool area and surroundings leisure facilities giving the user unobstructed sense of freedom. The view from the Villas verandas  is incomparable and unquestionably the best way to release stress and relax. The overall complex leaves the natural landscape intact as it curves to the topography of the site, adapting to the environment and dissolving the boundaries between private and public spaces, volumes and voids, build and open space. The volumes are divided in order to create sheltered courtyards from the northerly winds. Furthermore we designed the white plaster volumes with stone masoned walls so that we can create a natural transition amongst spaces according to the islands vernacular.   The Villa and the pool have been thoughtfully positioned on the site so that one can fully enjoy its amphitheatrical view. The island character with simple, clean lines characterizes all areas, while white and earth tones are in harmony with the Cycladic environment.
